Autotech Group is delighted to welcome back its co-founder and former CEO, Gavin White, who is returning to the business in an interim supporting role focused on mentorship, industry engagement, and future projects.
Two years ago, Gavin stepped away from the company following his brain tumour diagnosis. Since then, he has dedicated time to focusing on his health and wellbeing, even completing a marathon and raising thousands of pounds for Brain Tumour Research in the process. Throughout this time, Gavin’s passion for both the automotive industry and Autotech Group has remained unwavering, particularly his commitment to tackling the ongoing skills shortage and helping young people build rewarding careers in the sector.
Through his recent “Back to School” initiative, Gavin has been engaging directly with training providers and apprentices across the UK, experiencing first-hand the challenges and opportunities faced by the next generation of automotive talent.
In his new capacity, Gavin will work closely across Autotech Group on a part time basis, providing mentorship, supporting the company’s ongoing mission to close the skills gap, particularly through Autotech Academy, and contributing to future projects designed to drive innovation and opportunity within the industry.
