Autotech Group will be exhibiting at this year’s Garage & Bodyshop Show, bringing together two of its specialist brands – Autotech Training and Autotech Connect – to demonstrate how workshops can stay safe, efficient and prepared for the future of vehicle repair.
With increasing vehicle complexity, ongoing skills shortages and the increasing numbers of electric vehicles entering workshops the need for both practical training and smarter workshop processes has never been greater.
Autotech Group’s presence at the show reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the aftermarket with solutions that address these evolving challenges.
Autotech Training will highlight its focus on safety and skills development, with the Laser EVIP 2 on display. Designed to immobilise electric vehicles by connecting directly to the Type 2 charge socket, the device provides a simple but effective way to protect technicians when working on systems that require the ignition to be on.
Its inclusion reflects a broader approach to EV readiness, ensuring technicians and, increasingly, emergency services and local authorities are not only trained to work on modern vehicles, but equipped with the tools needed to do so safely as EV adoption continues to grow.
Autotech Connect will showcase practical technology designed to help technicians stay productive on the vehicle. Leading with its voice-to-text functionality, the solution goes beyond simply capturing notes as it enables technicians to access technical information on demand without stepping away from the ramp.
Alongside this, its remote technical support technology connects technicians with expert guidance in real time, supporting faster fault diagnosis and more efficient repairs. By reducing time spent on admin and improving access to knowledge, these tools help workshops minimise downtime and make better use of existing skills within the team.
Together, Autotech Training and Autotech Connect will demonstrate how a combination of up-to-date training, safety-focused tools and connected technology can help workshops work more efficiently while preparing for an increasingly complex automotive landscape.
Autotech Group will be exhibiting at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event at the NEC, Birmingham, on 3–4 June. Visitors can find the team in Hall 6, Stand B28.
